Briar has performed on many stages throughout Muskoka and beyond - Summerfolk Music Festival, Muskoka Pride, Muskoka VegFest, Sawdust City Music Festival, Bala Cranberry Festival and Huntsville's Festival of the Arts, and has played countless other concerts and venues as well. She's the recipient of several performing arts awards over the years, including the Town of Huntsville's Bill Waterhouse Award as well as bursaries from the Huntsville Festival of the Arts and the Muskoka Men of Song. She tries to give back to the community, and proceeds from some of her shows have supported several non-profit organizations like the Table Food Bank, Community Living Huntsville, Huntsville Festival of the Arts, Hunters Bay Radio, Atherley Community Centre, Gravenhurst Against Poverty, Muskoka Animal Rescue, Rotary Club of North Muskoka, Moose FM 105.5 Salvation Army Drive, South Muskoka & Huntsville Hospital Foundations.
Proceeds from record sales support the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund.
Briar also volunteers as the host of YourTV/Cogeco "Muskoka On Stage" highlighting all the amazing live entertainment in the area.
